Work to uplift and help disadvantaged members of the Senegalese community while experiencing the country's culture, taking a course in the local language, and doing excursions to explore the surroundings of Dakar. The work involves grass-roots development efforts: educating rural people, women and handicapped children, helping with medical health-care, and HIV/AIDS work. A pre-departure weekend or online TEFL course included.

Senegal Surfing

Being based in Dakar, you are ideally located to some of the best waves Senegal has to offer. Thee nearby Almadies peninsula offers a range of waves suitable for the beginner and more intermediate surfer. From the quality beachbreak of Yoff, to the reefbreaks of Club Med, Ouakam and the N Gor righthand break made famous in 'Endless Summer'. THe peninsula offers a great variety of waves, whatever the wind direction and swell size.
