SWAP supports locally established surf camps and businesses by providing a range of volunteer and surf opportunities in surfing areas including the Mentawai islands, Ecuador, Jeffreys bay, Costa Rica and Senegal. SWAP is currently developing a range of  volunteer oportunities worldwide. We aim to continue to raise awareness on environmental, social and cultural issues in surfing destinations.

The Concept....                                                                                                                 Surfing as an industry has continued to expand to meet the demand of more individuals getting involved in surfing. As a result more areas are being explored as potential surfing destinations and additional camps, companies and organisations within the surfing industry are being developed to satisfy this demand. The concept of SWAP organisation is to develop a global network and a further understanding of the issues in surfing regions overseas

 

News - The 'Wasteful' EU Fishing Policy

Last week a Norwegian coastguard filmed the crew of a Shetland trawler, the Prolific, openly dumping over 5,000 kg of cod and other dead white fish in UK waters. Now this footage is rightly causing a mass of disruption based on unesscary waste at a time when the government is stressing not to waste food. Read more on our News page.
